Since its release in December 2007, The Storm has already sold
into the U.S.A, Europe, U.K and Australia and is currently featured
on over 50 websites all over the world. Added to that, currently in
excess of 100 radio stations are playing songs from The Storm Part
One. Check out the new interview with Ken from Bad Attitude Radio.
The album is also currently being reviewed by dozens of publications
throughout Europe and the U.S.A/ South America.
"Some very good elements do exist in this effort and especially
the guitar work that sounds like the late 70's bands. Worth to mention
are also the audio effects during the tracks that help the concept
of the album to become more "alive"
Lampros
Tennes - Metal Zone
From the sheer brutality of songs like "Modern World"
and "The Wind of Change" to the exquisite beauty of "Left
in the Dark" which has just featured on WSVN Volume 20 in the
U.S.A, this album has it all. Michael has teamed up with producer
Steve Harrison and numerous special guests such as Chrissie Phillips
sharing vocals to produce an album with no "fillers". Every
song has a place on "The Storm". The whole concept of "The
Storm" is to tell a story through songs, dialogue, character
parts and special effects.
"Recently I had the utmost pleasure to discover a very
talented entertainer that I feel everyone will enjoy learning more
about. Michael Hilder is an amazing singer who knows how to deliver
to his fans the music that can pack a punch. If you love Classic Rock,
then Michael's music is a plus to any true rock fan"
Isaac
Davis Joseph Jnr - Juniors Cave Magazine
It all began in the summer of 1991 when Michael began to pen
his own rock musical, The Storm. To tell the story, he combined powerful
rock guitar riffs, galloping bass lines and majestic piano melodies
to give every one of his songs their own identity. Each one was painstakingly
written and re-written until it fitted perfectly with each individual
chapter of the story.
"No surprise that Jim Steinman was the inspiration for
this rock opera, although very different"
Marlene
Palumbo - Indienink music
Michael's fan base is growing all the time and they are as
loyal as any rock fans going around. It is these fans that are helping
to push The Storm into every corner of the world, one CD at a time.
Michael is also adding "member" only advantages to his fan
base with the "free" mailing list boasting competitions,
give-aways and special offers available only to subscribers
"He has something of a cult following overseas and has
shipped off CD's all over the world. Fans from Britain, the U.S and
the continent post messages on his my space page"
Megan
Hustwaite - Leader Newspaper
It is also a tribute to the diverse music on the album and
this is evident with the multitude of different websites/ radio programs
that are reviewing the album and playing his songs. The genre covers
pop, rock, hard rock, folk and metal so there is something for everybody
on The Storm.
"The album has a storyline with a flow to it. Just a great
album"
Ritchie Laird - 979FM
This
is only the beginning. With a second and third album to complete the
trilogy, The Storm is a big production, theatrical Rock experience
that looks destined to join the great concept albums of our time.
